Ex-Teacher in San Antonio Told Students to Hit a Bully

A former teacher was found guilty on Thursday of telling her students to hit a schoolmate who was allegedly being a bully.

According to local news media, Cynthia Ambrose, 55, made her students stand in a line. They were then instructed to thrash a 6-year-old boy so that he knows “how it feels to be bullied.”

The incident happened in May 2012 when the child was taken to Ambrose after he swatted another student.

The hits were initially light taps, but the defendant kept urging her class to “hit him harder.”

Ambrose was convicted of misdemeanor official oppression charges.
